♥︎ Chapter 3 ♥︎

Everyone?

Bhopal,

Next Day in the Groom's Room

The Rathores reached Bhopal yesterday and landed in the mansion, which they had brought with them on the spur of the moment.

"Bhai, are you hiding something from us?" Vijay questioned Adarsh while Vikram and Aarav eyed Adarsh with the same question.

Silence hung in every corner of the room.

Adarsh is typing something on his phone like no one has asked him anything.

"Bhai, Vijay bhai asked you something." Aarav reiterated to Adarsh, who is still ignoring them.

After a few seconds, Adarsh turned off his phone, looked up at his brothers, and answered, "This is Dadda ji's wish."

"You know what we are referring to," Vikram interjected with an urgent voice. He wants to cancel the marriage of his brother as Adarsh has not wholeheartedly agreed to it.

But no one knows how he wants to protect her from suffering by landing in hell.

A knock on the door, along with a soft voice, filled the room. "Bhai"

All of them know who that voice belongs to.

"Keerthi?" Vijay said absent-mindedly.

Everyone in the room was shocked by her presence. After the marriage, their relationship took 180 degrees.

Keerthi was Chandrika and Yashwanth's daughter.

She was married, happily in the eyes of everyone but forceful to her, to a billionaire by her family. Keerthi portrays that she and her husband are having a healthy and romantic relationship, but in reality, she is facing a tragic situation in her household, especially with her husband.

Keerthi rushes to her big brother and hugs him very tightly.

She missed them so much. Everyday. Every second, she thought of her brother's care and love.

Despite being their stepmother's daughter, Keerthi was always around her brothers, playing, eating, and sleeping in their rooms in the middle of the night.

Keerthi spends most time with Adarsh and Aarav. Adarsh showed care while Aarav played with her the most, as they used to be nearly similar ages.

Keerthi slowly loosens herself from the embrace and faces Adarsh. Her eyes were filled with tears. It's been almost a year since she met with them, to be specific...Alone.

Keerthi being so close to her brothers was also a reason for Yashwanth to hate them so badly. It's like her bond added more fire to the burning pot.

However, a part of Chandrika accepted their bond. At least she receives the love she deserves from her brothers is what Chandrika thought.

"I'm sorry bade bhaiya." Keerthi murmured while lowering her eyes with guilt. A part of her hated them for the marriage. Later, when she understood them, she felt remorse for her behavior.

"Never be," Adarsh said while lifting her chin slowly. “It’s we who should be asking to forgive us.” He said, and Keerthi shook her head.

“I know you all did everything to keep me safe, so I won’t blame you,” Keerthi spoke gently, by warming their hearts. “I’m sorry, bhaiya, for not talking to you all. I didn’t mean to, but…” Emotions took over her and words blocked in her throat.

Everyone took her into a hug and consoled their little sister. “Never say sorry to us again. That breaks our heart. Instead, we accept your punches.” Aarav quipped, and the gloomy atmosphere was replaced with warmth and happiness.

“Ha, if we know marriage would unite us then we would have done it long back.” Vijay added to the lively atmosphere, and everyone smiled.

"The Grooms are being called by the priest." A servant called out from the entrance of the room and disappeared in an instant.

"Isn't this only Bhade bhaiya's marriage? Why are you also being called Vikram bhaiya?" Keerthi asked with question marks and confused eyes.

"We have known about it, Bhai, so not only you, we too are with you in this together," Vijay answered Adarsh's fiery, questioning eyes.

Adarsh knows about his brothers from their childhood, so he thinks it's a waste of time to argue when they have agreed unanimously.

Also, the bomb has already been blasted, so it's no use either searching for it or taking precautions.

With a sigh from Adarsh, they all left the room for the procedures, in fact, the rituals for the marriages.

Since the marriage was forced, Adarsh maintained it in a mansion temple. Simple and Formal. According to Adarsh or his brother, the marriage is just a force and an alliance that can be cut once everything is in their hands.

The priest asked to bring the brides, and the four beautiful brides came into view of the small audience, where the bride's parents and the groom's parents, along with some other people, friends, were the only ones present.

As soon as the bride took their place beside their respective groom, the priest started to chant the mantra and gave the nuptial chains to each groom, which needed to be tied around the bride's neck with three knots.

Chandrika observed the scene playing before her with a smile tugging on her face as if her dream of taking hold of the future plan of revenge was going to be successful soon.

The nuptial chain ritual was over, and it was about time to apply the vermilion on the bride's parting line of hair on their heads.

When Adarsh saw the cut on Yashna's forehead and the emotions in her eyes. Pain itched in Adarsh's heart as he saw the cut on her forehead and the bruise on the sides of her neck. Anger flared in Adarsh's veins as he once got to know that the person who laid a finger on his wife's body will vanish from the earth without any trace. Yashna didn't dare to look at Adarsh and kept her eyes on the floor.

When Vikram saw the emotionless eyes of Avika, his heart pricked. Avika was lost in every way as her parents sold her to Rathore's family.

Vijay observed the tension and doubts on Nainka's face. Despite being sold to her husband by her parents, Nainika was staring at Vijay the whole time as he bewitched her to keep her eyes on him. Vijay too was mesmerised by her eyes, as her eyes reminded him of a girl when he was 10.

A day before

"Avika and Nainika, pack some of your dresses, we need to go somewhere. Also, pack these two dresses too." Their mother shouted from the hall, making Avika and Nainika come out of the bedroom in haste. They watched each other before Nainika asked her mother, "Maa, where are we going? And where did you get these from?"

"Shut up, don't talk back to me, and get ready with your things. Be fast, we don't have all day long." Their mother retorted at them, and they flinched at her retort and went to their shared room. They packed only a few things, thinking that they would return in a day or two. Unknown to them, they were going to be sold to a random household.

Avika, Nainika, their mother, and their father started from the village at night and reached Bhopal by morning. Avika and Nainika entered a hall, they saw their parents talking to a lady who handed them a small bag.

Avika and Nainika's parents returned to their side with dull faces; however, Avika and Nainika caught a glimpse of the hidden happiness written all over their faces. Avika and Nainika peered at one another, "Change into the dresses which I said to pack. On top of that, stay in this room unless someone summons you." The girl's mother ordered them for which the confusion only brewed more confusion in them.

"Maa, kya ho raha hai? Yeh jagah kaunsi hai aur un shandaar kapdon mein kyu badalna hai?" Nainika implored her mother, and in response, her mother only glared at them to shut up and do what she said.

[Maa, what's happening? What's this place, and why do we need to change into those grand dresses?]

After the girls changed into their attire, "Khush raho, hamari pyari betiyan." The girl's father spoke to them, but the girls didn't understand what was going on. The girl's parents bid them goodbye by saying they would come in sometime soon. They vanished from the mansion, leaving the girls in the bride's room.

[Be happy, our lovely daughters.]

Later on, a maid came, "The priest is asking for the brides. Please come." When the maid declared, Avika and Nainika got the whole picture, and the realization hit them with fierce force that their parents had sold them. They have given up their hopes of escape. Combined with their lost souls, they attended their unforeseen wedding.

**

Aarav saw the tears in Indu's eyes and her pale lips. Indu's eyes welled with tears as her sister escaped from this marriage, and she was forced into this to hold up the reputation of her family in society.

Aarav, for the first time in his life, was feeling his heart ache for a girl. He was a playboy, but his heart never ached for a girl, and that too, he never expected this strange feeling would dwell in him for a complete stranger.

A day before

Beginning with the news that Indu's sister was going to marry a person whom her sister was obsessed with, Indu felt very happy for her sister. Indu thought that her sister would be happy after marriage, albeit her assumptions were left crushed when her bedroom door swung open, letting her parents in.

"Dear, humein pata hai yeh galat tha, par sirf tum hi humein madad kar sakti ho." Indu's father said while slowly sitting on the edge of her bed.

[Dear, we know this was wrong, but only you can help us.]

"Kya hua, Dad? Aapka kya matlab hai ki sirf main hi madad kar sakti hoon?" Indu asked with masks of confusion in her eyes. She ping-ponged her gaze between her father and mother, who was very nervous, not to mention the trembling hands.

[What happened, Dad? What do you mean by only I can help?]

"Samyuktha, your sister, she — she eloped." Unknown to her, tears rolled down her cheeks and hit the back of her hands, which were placed on her lap. The tears were warm like fire. Her sister is her half-soul, yet she eloped, leaving her in the worst possible condition ever.

Indu grasped the hidden meaning of her father's words when he said only she could help. With some hesitation, she replied, holding back the emotions that were running through her. "I will accept, Dad. Don't worry, I won't leave like my sister."

In the morning, when she was standing in front of Aarav, Indu remembered things like how her sister used to admire him, talk about him non-stop, and she used to describe his features.

When Indu met Aarav's eyes at the time of the vermilion ritual, her eyes gave up the urge to hold back the tears despite her fight; the tears flowed down, pricking her heart that the position belonged to her sister, but not hers to be.

**

As the priest started to chant the mantras, the brothers' senses came to reality, and they resumed their ritual of applying the vermilion on the parting of the bride's hair on their heads.

As the rituals were completed one by one, Yashwanth's happiness was out of bounds as if he had achieved a medal for his perfect plan of execution.

After all the rituals have been completed, all the people who gathered for the marriages of the Rathore brothers have dispersed from the location, only leaving behind the Rathore family along with the brides and their families.

Yashna was suddenly dragged by her brother Hriday to the back of the mansion, into the garden, where a huge tree was blocking their view. Adarsh was taken aback by the sudden interruption of a person dragging his wife to the side in front of all the families. The most hurtful and confusing thing to Adarsh was that Yashna didn't argue a bit, even if she was dragged by force.

"Bhai... Bhabhi?" Vijay left the question open, but all the brothers understood the incomplete meaning behind it. Avika, Nainika, and Indu were standing aside, observing the situation with a semi-conscious state as they were drowning deep in the worries and problems of their own.

When Yashna was dragged away by Hriday to the garden behind the tree, "Yasha, are you alright? I was locked in the room, and by the time I reached it, everything was done. I'm sorry, Yasha, I promised you, but I haven't kept my promise." Hriday whispered as his palms held Yashna's palms.

"Bhai, you don't need to say sorry to me. I know this marriage is not the one to escape. So, don't be sorry." Yashna assured her brother while her palms squeezed softly, a gesture to say that she was fine.

"Promise me that you will let me know everything. If you ever feel sad or if you were wronged in any way, just text me or call me, I will be by your side in the next moment." Hriday said as he made her look into his eyes and raised his eyebrows for her unanswered stare.

Yashna's mouth left a soft chuckle for the first time since yesterday, and tiny tears formed in her eyes looking at her brother. Her brother is the only person she is going to miss in the whole household of Rajput household.

She nodded as a yes and smiled some more when she observed her brother was smiling too.

Hriday took her into a hug, and she melted in her brother's arms. When she looked at the scene in the wedding hall, her mother talking to her husband, she unwrapped herself from her brother's arms and ran towards them.

Hriday too caught sight of the scenario in the wedding hall and understood what caused Yashna to be so frightened. He too joined Yashna in the wedding hall.

As the discussion and silence were heating up among the Rathores, Nandini, Yashna's mother, came over to the brothers and said in a sighing manner, "Ayaa! The brother and sister never want to be apart. I don't know how they will survive as she is now married." Nandini deliberately slid the words into their ears, gaining the attention of all four brothers. She sighed again, heavily and animatedly shaking her head.

When she saw Adarsh and others watching her with suspicious glares, Nandini explained with her hands animatedly by looking at Adarsh, "I'm your mother-in-law, beta." Adarsh felt something was wrong with Nandini, and her behaviour added more to that.

Surya, Yashna's father, joined the conversation and Nandini’s face went pale. "Huh! You never give up on your dear daughter, Biwi. She just got married, and you started to wearisome about her." Surya exclaimed while his hand rounded around the shoulders of Nandini. Patting smoothly in a way to comfort her. Only Nandini knows it means danger to her.

"How can I not worry? She is my one and only daughter." Nandini proclaimed as she started to wipe away the tearsthath were not even rolled down least formed in her eyes.

"Saasu Maa, don't worry, we'll take care of Bhabhi as you did," Aarav stated when he saw his big brother ignoring their in-laws' drama. Aarav's words were hiding the fact, hinting at disappearing from Adarsh's view, or else the aftermath would be out of control.

Yashna hurriedly came back, looking at the scene unfolding in the wedding hall. "Moth–Mother what happened?" as Yashna's words left her mouth Nandini hugged her as she spoke to let everyone hear, "My little girl, how can I live after you have gone?" and murmured in Yashna's ears "If you tell anyone then you won't be able to see me again." Nandini unfolded her arms around Yashna and took her place beside Surya with her act of crying.

Yashna stood frozen to the ground, her body stiffened due to the words of her mother. It was threat from the person standing beside her and Yashna gulped in fear.

Adarsh noticed Yashna froze, but contrary to his mind racing to unfold the truth, he took strides towards the exit, and soon all of them walked in his way.

Soon, all of them entered their respective cars: Adarsh and Yashna, Vikram and Avika, Vijay and Nainika, and finally Aarav and Indu. Their private jet was already arranged and waiting for them to arrive.

The plane landed in Mumbai, and their married life was about to unfold.
